Sara Ferguson is a published and international Makeup Artist and Cosmetologist currently living in Elburn, Illinois. Since studying Beauty, Bridal, Fashion, Film, and Photography Makeup and Hair, Sara has gained vast experience in the beauty industry. Her background and experience create a unique style that characterizes her artistic talent.
Having started her career with MAC Cosmetics in London, England, Sara’s involvement in European fashion has gained her a proficiency in understanding different cultures, looks, and styles. She draws her inspiration from her exposure to the world of makeup. Developing an all-around style and distinctive look has set her apart and given her a global presence. She has the innate ability to bring out the natural beauty of her client, no matter the gender, ethnicity, or character.
In addition to her extensive bridal portfolio, Sara has also worked on high-profile productions such as Little Shop of Horrors with Music Theater Works at the Northlight Theater, North Shore Center for the Performing Arts, where her expertise in stage makeup and hairstyling helped bring the production’s vibrant characters to life. Her latest work was Franz Lehar’s The The Merry Widow Opera Bienen School of Music at Northwestern University.
Since starting her own business, ONTrend Hair and Makeup LLC, Sara has worked with a large clientele ranging from bridal to fashion. Her specialty is bridal, offering on-location traditional makeup, airbrush, and hair services. In order to provide better customer service for large parties, Sara has added artists and stylists to her team, who provide the same high standards that are associated with ONTrend. Her work has been published in magazines such as Coco Eco and Prolific Magazine, and she has been the key artist on various marketing campaigns. She has a passion for teaching makeup artistry and continues to share her professional knowledge to this day.
